Hello Family.
Amy and I were on our own for New Year's Eve. We had dinner at a local Italian restaurant called Ippolito's. Now we're home to watch a movie and then the Peach drop (Atlanta's version of the Times Square event). We still have some good fireworks from last year so we'll likely make a little noise in the cul de sac at midnight as well. Tomorrow, Eric and Melissa will come over for dinner while Bobby is still enjoying his time in Vegas. Bobby's latest report says he's ahead so far . . . I hope so.
Amy and I wish all of you a safe and happy New Year.

Safe at Home in Long Island!
Got home today at 4:30 PM after an uneventful but long train ride! The biggest challenge was negotiating our way through Penn Station as we connected with our commuter train line back to Manhasset/Glen Cove. What an adventure! Courtney's at the movies, Patrick's playing his new XBox with Carl looking on; I'm enjoying a cup of hot chocolate and watching the Gerald Ford funeral; quite dignified and sad.
Thanks again to Amy and Bob for hosting us, and to all the family for the fun gifts! Happy New Year to all!
Love, Sara
P.S. Finished a terrific novel The Memory Keeper's Daughter today on the train. I would ever so highly recommend this book -- wow! Let me know if you get a chance to read it.....

Great holiday
Amy and I drove the Pozzi's to the train station this evening around 700PM. With 4 suitcases strapped to the roof rack, we all piled into Amy's truck and headed down to Amtrak. As it turned out, we were there in plenty of time for baggage checking, etc. since the train didn't leave until almost 930PM. On our way home, Amy and I stopped for a quick shopping excursion to Z Gallerie and Chicos, then back home for a quiet dinner of soup and rice (for Amy) and pancakes (for Bob). The house is quiet and we miss our guests already. Safe travels! Everybody pray for the Larsen house to sell next week!

Its courtney, still here in Atlanta. Im getting ready for the 18hr train ride tomorrow. Our train leaves tomorrow at 8pm. Right now the family is chillin at the hornsby house. This morning Bob was showing how to use the sweet spot golf ball finder. You have to hold a marker to it while it is spinning, it reminded me of spin art. When I tried the dot you make at the top of the ball didnt come out as planned. It looked like a bloodshot eye! Later I watch King Kong, it was really sad. This Blog is so cool, thank you pat for setting it up!
We're here at Amy and Bob's, a/k/a "The Hosts with the Most", after 4 wonderful days with family! The fellowship at 105 St. Lenords is phenomenal, and the food has been fabulous, too. Thank you Amy and Bob! We're so glad that Andi was able to make the trip from California...now THAT's a long drive!, and that the folks were here from FL. It was great to see Bobby and Eric and Melissa too. Thank you Patrick for setting up this blog and to Courtney for helping us with each of our accounts! xoxo Sara :)
